Founded in 2005, Al‑Taj Mills is a leading flour milling and grain storage operation serving Egypt and the wider Middle East. The facility consists of two state-of-the-art, independent mills — Al‑Taj 1 and Al‑Taj 2 — each equipped with two production lines, with each line capable of producing 320 tons per day. This brings the total production capacity to 1,280 tons per day, with 72% flour and 28% chaff and bran output.

The mill also features a total grain storage capacity of 100,000 tons, supporting large-scale operations and ensuring continuous supply to both local and regional markets.

The mill incorporates world-class milling and processing equipment:

• Swiss Bühler systems, including Sortex optical sorters, advanced purification, digital controls (PIC & WINCOS), and automated cleaning lines ensure high-quality, hygienic production with zero microbial contamination  .

• Silos are managed through fully automated handling systems and “Bulk Outload” technology, capable of loading over 40 t per transport vehicle.

• Al‑Taj emphasizes comprehensive quality and safety standards, holding ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and OHSAS 18001 certifications.

With its strategic location in 6th of October City and fully integrated operations—from wheat reception to boutique packaging—Al‑Taj supports both bulk and packaged flour distribution across Egypt and exports to neighboring regions.

Al-Taj Mill continues to develop its workforce by sending technicians responsible for production and electrical and mechanical maintenance to many training courses in Buhler, Switzerland, to learn about the latest technology in the world.
